Buying Happiness…

Posted on | April 13, 2010 | Comments Off

Well, she could finally say she bought happiness. It would arrive in the form of a pendant, an old dictionary definition of the word cut out and captured within glass somehow, but it was “happiness” and she bought it. Would it do something magical once placed around her neck?  Probably not, but it would look clever layered with some of her other interesting finds from her favorite shopping mecca Etsy.

She sat quietly looking outside the window. Rain was threatening again and she wasn’t terribly thrilled with the idea of it. Rain always meant the ghosts of old aches and pains coming back where breaks of bones and ravages of muscle were still haunted. Although beautiful, rain and other weather changes like this could hurt. It had gone from being very warm to quite chilly and that made it even worse. She chuckled quietly to herself as she could hear her Mother suggest taking a hot bath. (Her remedy to EVERYTHING) She probably would actually, she had bought some new bubblebath yesterday.

She had work to be done and she was procrastinating. It was time to get serious and wait…could she have just seen a frog flying from a second story window? Nevermind.  It was time to get serious about working. She’d frolic off now and see about that hot bath and maybe some tea and some dedicated hours of character development. (which would turn to more browsing on Etsy)
